Continuing life in Ypsilanti / Ann Arbor

It has been a while since I last posted. School is still going well and I am still having the time of my life. The reading requirement continues to be heavy and I have my first writing memo due this upcoming week. I am looking forward to attacking the assignment this weekend.

Social life at the school is pretty good. At least once or twice per week we have guest lecturers in. This upcoming week we have Bowie Kuhn, former Commissioner of Major League Baseball. As well, we have a U.S. Assistant Attorney coming in to discuss judicial aspects on the war on terrorism.

There are at least a few social gatherings each week as well as pickup basketball, softball and ultimate frisbee games. Still, the reading is so voluminous that I have to be careful about what I go to and don't go to.

Rudy and I are still going to the Fitness Center and I am even looking forward to the visits. We are going slowly but will have to step it up soon. We have discussed going 5 times per week instead of our current 3 and we both intend to imlement that in mid-September, with a pull back to 3 the first two weeks of October because of a temporary change in our academic schedule.

I did go to the Michigan/Washington football game which Michigan won on a last second field goal. I had read somewhere that they had renovated to add 7,000 new seats. I figure they simply erased the paint on the benches and renumbered closer together.
